It’s Monday morning and I got out of Sloan a week ago, last Monday evening. Things are going almost identically to how they went after RICE #1. Pretty fatigued three to five days after the chemo, and then gradually feeling better.

I went to the gym yesterday in the late afternoon, rode the bike for about 16 minutes to warm up, and then did the full weight session and some stretching. Of course a bit breathless, so I took more than my usual 40 to 60 seconds between sets.

This week I am seeing the transplant physician Tuesday afternoon, and having my first “cell collection” Thursday morning. The collection is for my stem cells and works something like this: IV-type things in both my arms (no use of the port for this), blood goes out one arm, into a machine that separates the cells, and then back into me through the other arm. I’ll be sitting on some sort of couch for the three to four hours this will take. Not exactly fun, fun, fun.

Looking to put in a pretty full session at the office today.
