RICE #1 Finished and home from Sloan

I got home this evening at about 6 o’clock. The RICE infusion went well – without a hitch. But it was a bit weird to have a running IV from 4:30 on Saturday to 4:30 on Monday. And most of that time with medicine being infused. Beside getting chemo Saturday into the evening, I was getting chemo from Sunday morning at 11, until almost literally before I left (didn’t waste any time getting out of there!). Brigid picked me up and we got out of Dodge pretty quickly, with a smooth ride back to Croton.

Thank  you to Denice, Aimee, Ivana, Colleen, Melissa, and Veronica, who all took good care of me!

Went to the gym at 8 o’clock this evening and had a good session. Want to get in as much gym as I can before the inevitable fatigue slowdown in five to 10 days.

  2. Tom –
Glad you survived your gala weekend…all your talk about going to the gym is inspiring – I’m getting in that mode myself these days.
Take care, and know that you are always in our thoughts down here in Texas…MB
