Been Adirondack camping the last several days

Brigid and I car camped with our great friend Laurie (from Vermont – had not seen her in years!) at the Paradox Lake Campground near the town of Schroon Lake (The h is silent). No internet or cell service in the campsite – and spotty in many other places. Made it almost feel like1983…

Here are three pictures – the first from Mt. Severence. That is Laurie in the foreground.  Mt. Severance tops out at 1,693 feet, which is where the picture is taken from. The walk has a 744 foot elevation gain, which is tough over a 2.5 mile round trip hike.

This is the Paradox Brewery Company, where we knocked back a couple of drinks Friday and Saturday. Relatively recent micro-brewery which looks to be quite popular. Nice place – the food as well as drink were quite good.

And here is Brigid a little after noontime on Sunday at Lost Pond.  This was about a three mile round trip hike.
