A play on the classic Manhattan with Cognac subbed for whiskey. Very short video – our recipe below.
Farandaville recipe – with the classic proportions; other recipes do equal parts cognac and red vermouth
2 oz. VS cognac – no need for more expensive VSOP.
1 oz. Sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
half teaspoon (about an eighth of an oz) simple syrup
Shake and pour into a chilled glass.
Garnish with a cherry
