“Pakistani Teen Becomes Youngest Person to Summit K2”

K2 is second highest peak (after Everest) but far and away the most dangerous – one killed climber for every four who succeeded in reaching its summit.

Shehroze Kashif summited Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world, a few months ago. Now, the young man nicknamed ‘Broad Boy’ has summited the second highest peak — K2.

On Tuesday morning, Pakistani native Shehroze Kashif reached the summit of K2 at age 19. Not only did he climb the 28,251-foot peak, but he is now the youngest person to do so, the Alpine Club of Pakistan reported.
