Friday cocktail – Elderflower Old Fashioned

The video below from Steve has seven St. Germain Elderflower (very easy to find in any liquor store) liqueur cocktails. His version of the Elderflower Old Fashioned starts at 12:45 on the video. But see Farandaville version – universally acclaimed – below the video.

Here is our recipe –

2 oz. rye whiskey – we use Sazerac

1/2 oz. St. Germain

4 dashes angostura bitters

2 dashes orange bitters

In an Old Fashioned glass put a large chunk of ice – or 2-3 smaller chunks – add the ingredients and stir in the glass for 30-40 seconds.

A delicious, balanced cocktail.
