The 2nd leg of the Triple Crown is this evening at 7PM. There is an official cocktail – called the Black-eyed Susan. The Farandaville “official” official recipe which we will be having.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Bourbon whiskey
- 1 oz Peach schnapps
- 2 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- 2 oz Sour mix (homemade sour mix; 1/2 lime, 1/2 lemon, small amount of simple syrup or store – Amazon – bought)
- For Garnish: Orange slice and a Maraschino cherry
Instructions
- Add all the liquid ingredients (vodka, bourbon, peach schnapps, orange juice, and sour mix) into a cocktail shaker filled with cracked or crushed ice.
- Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled.
- Fill a tall highball glass with fresh crushed ice.
- Strain the mixture into the glass.
- Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry (often threaded together on a cocktail pick).
