Very similar to the Sidecar (which we love) only substituting spiced rum for the cognac in the Sidecar. Farandaville recipe below the short video.
Farandaville recipe
1.5 oz spiced rum (bacardi spiced rum)
3/4 oz. Dry Curacao
1 oz. lemon (fresh squeezed is best, no doubt)
1/3 oz demerara syrup (instead of the 1 oz simple syrup as per the video)
We don’t rim the glass with sugar
Shake with ice for 20-25 seconds and garnish with lemon peel
Here you go. Using demerara instead of simple syrup balances the whole flavor profile.
