Friday cocktail – most popular drink in 1776 was – here’s the answer
So, we tried the 1776 variation – rum – and then the updated version – – rye whiskey. Farandavile is a rum-loving house but the updated version with Rittenhouse 100 proof rye whiskey was better! Here’s a video using bourbon and jazzing it up a bit (we tried it – better with the Rittenhouse!) and our recipe below.
Farandaville – sooo easy.
2 oz. Rittenhouse rye whiskey
5-6 oz. of hard cider –
On the rocks in a highball glass. And give it a stir.
