UPDATE: Comment (in email) from Brigid’s niece June:
“Tom, next time there’s a group photo – bring a milk crate to stand on… 😉 xx”
I did post this graduation day, May 21st Tim Graduated Today with the Dad/Tim selfie I took as I gave him his diploma, but want to go on the record with some more pictures.
The evening before graduation, after the Baccalaureate Mass, there was a small reception for families of the alumni fathers who would be handing the diploma to their son. Each family was given a plaque.
Here we are with Fr. Collins, the President of Stepinac, who I believe graduated ten years after I did. And below that, a group picture (indicating that not only am I the oldest of the alumni Dads, but also the shortest!).

At the actual graduation it was difficult to get pictures, because there was no raised podium where the boys got there diploma; it was all in the gym with everyone at the same level. But Brigid got a serious Tim as he was in line.

And I took this from the other side of the gym, as I was in the group waiting to hand out diplomas. The gym was packed to the rafters. 170 in the graduating class.

Here’s the selfie – I’d just handed Tim his diploma, and he said “I’m not going to do that …”, but at least he looks pretty good.

When I got back to my seat I took this, (just to be fair) with Joe – but the backlighting …

Here are some nice shots, after the ceremony, taken by Brigid and I. Beside Joe and Brigid, our friend Judy Anderson was at the graduation and Tim’s friend Izy (sp?), short for Isabella. It’s easy to figure who is who. We had never met Izy.

Funny how everyone looks pale when Joe and Tim are in the pictures.
Afterwards, we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner; not much in the way of pictures

…except of the dessert we split. By dessert time, Joe, Izy and Tim had taken off, leaving this for three way split – Tom, Judy and Brigid.

Here’s to all the Classes of 2015!
