Actually Christmas Eve and Christmas. I was the lector and Tim an altar server at the 10PM Christmas Eve Mass, and after we returned home, we opened the gifts from Brigid’s relatives in England and Australia. That has become our custom in recent years – overseas gifts on Christmas Eve and everything else Christmas morning.
Brigid looks very professorial, while the boys get into it

Joe loves to build things and he received this small house from Australia, while Tim unravels an England present. The tree in teh background looks a little askew, because it is! Earlier in the evening, I suddenly heard a “swoosh” and when I walked into the room the tree was on it’s side. It just fell over of it’s own accord. A repair job was done, but it still has a stoop…

… and I eat a delicate French chocolate sent by the DSIL (that’s dear sister-in-law) Kate …

Here the boys are the next morning

And here I am with my mother as we have our late afternoon dinner

Then we were off to my brother Phil and Ann’s house, to meet up with their crowd – here’s Tim with their youngest, Mark

and Gregory with Brigid

The oldest in the family is Luke, and here he is with his Transformer gift from Croton Farandas

And checking out Joe

And here’s Catherine. My mother has eight grandchildren and Catherine is the only granddaughter. So she’s one of a kind and gets the following fashion spread!
