Summerfest in Croton

This past Sunday was the annual Croton Summerfest street fair. It’s always a nice event and draws a big crowd, with a parade and lots of vendors. The following pictures were all taken in front of Holy Name of Mary – the Church has a big presence and operation at the Summerfest.

Food is always a big deal of course! Here Ceil Tuman explains it all to the cooks –

But the results are good – big crowd in front of the servers –

Rogues Gallery shots –

Big smile from Anne Marie Moore and goofy look from Tom Moore. Pretty standard according to Tom!

The pastor, Fr. Mike, on the left, with a distinguished mystery guest – his name, anyone?

The big whigs – from left, chief cook and bottle washer Clem Rivera, Fr. Mike, Laurie Vlad, who’s in charge of the whole day for HNM, Mike Simmons, and his wife Lorraine. Lorraine is the new President of the Parish Council.

Mary Keon on the left, and my business associate and good friend Judy Anderson on the right. They helped man the Respect Life Society booth, which has been a fixture outside the Church at Summerfest for many years.

The next two pictures were taken by Judy.

Yvonne Rivera collects a chance for the baby blanket raffle from the lady in blue, while Donna Moga explains it all to Judy at the Respect Life Society display.
