One of my favorite painters. A long time ago Brigid and I saw much of his work in Toledo, Spain. He was originally from Greece (hence the name "El Greco") but spent most of his adult life in Toledo.

So WHY is he one of your favorite painters? BTW-art historians have theorized that El Greco had an eye condition that caused him to elongate his figures.

I suppose I like his mystical looking elongated figures, as well as his use of colors. Almost spooky. I didn’t know about the eye condition theory. These theorists are spoil sports!
