Back on January 15th I wrote up a review of my "latest read", The Only Three Questions That Count, and as I usually do, then posted the review on the amazon website. Here it is:
Tom Faranda’s Folly: Latest read: The Only Three Questions that Count
Yesterday I got a nice email from the author, investment manager Ken Fisher. Here it is –
Dear Tom,
Thank you for your very kind and very thorough review of my new book, The Only Three Questions That Count, on Tom Faranda’s Folly—and for including the review at Amazon.com! I’m glad you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
As I’m sure you are well aware, writing a book is tough, but nothing compared to promoting it. As an update my book has been doing very well, steadily among the top 50 among all books on Amazon and at times as high as number seven—and number one in business and investing. Getting notice and assistance from the blogosphere not only makes marketing the book easier, but makes the whole undertaking worthwhile.
Again, thanks for your very kind notice. It’s always nice to get support from a fellow oenophile. Here’s to a profitable and healthy 2007.
Kind regards,
Ken Fisher
I sent him a quick line back –

Thanks for your note – keep up the good work especially with the redwoods!Tom Faranda
The reference to redwoods is to the fact that Fisher (ranked #297 on the Forbes 400 wealthiest people in America list) has endowed the only University chair dedicated to one species of tree – the California Redwood.
The review has been well received on amazon so far. Readers can comment on the review if they wish and here’s what is posted –
