Hard to believe it’s been a year since my 20 day stay in Sloan. Six days of high dose chemotherapy, my stem cell transplant, and then the wait for my white blood cell count to get back up to normal range.
Here’s my posting for January 28, 2006:
Tom Faranda’s Folly: Day 20 – noontime – YIPPEE – we are outta here!
How am I doing now? Well I’m on antibiotics for my third sinus infection since November, and my white counts are still being monitored because they are too low. Not sure why they’re low (after-effect of Rituxin therapy I had following the chemo?), or when they’ll bounce back. Being monitored closely by Sloan Kettering Docs.
Other then that, I feel fine! Going to the gym, working hard, fighting with my kids – all the usual stuff!
Hard to believe it has been a full year! Time just goes by so fast doesn’t it? I’m glad that you are still doing fairly well and still able to keep up with your boys! 🙂
if you feel good than its all good. aren’t kids fun????????
