Got my results from last Friday’s complete blood count.
White count (WBC’s) was 4.9, down from 10.3 the prior Friday. Absolute neutrophil (sp?) was 3.9, down from 8.4. However both are currently in the normal range.
Since the trend is down after getting the neulasta shot on January 5th, I expect that the results of tomorrow’s test will show numbers lower then last Friday’s. That’s been the pattern for months. The neulasta gives me a quick boost (so at least my bone marrow responds nicely to it) and then the numbers head downward.
I see both Dr. Zelenetz, the lymphoma guru, and Dr. Klimek, the hematologist, on February 8th. I think she (Klimek) is going to do another bone marrow biopsy, and I’ll probably get another shot of neulasta.
